Mike and Julie Ann Ressler
Mike and Julie Ann Ressler have been fascinated by science and nature since they were children. Mike went on to earn a PhD in astronomy from the University of Hawaii and recently retired from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory after 33 years as a research astronomer, where he also served as the Project Scientist for the Mid-Infrared Instrument aboard the James Webb Space Telescope. Julie Ann earned her MD from the University of Southern California and recently retired after 27 years as a Clinical Radiologist at the City of Hope National Cancer Center, where she was Chief of Neuro-Radiology and a member of the Medical Executive Committee.
Mike and Julie Ann met as undergrads at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and have been married for 36 years. They have three adult sons who have spread across the country and one very active 18-month-old grandson. They have been members of Lake Avenue Church for over 30 years and have been active in the Galilean Adult Sunday School Class, where Mike is one of the teachers.
