Erika Deborah Rippel went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 16, 2025. She passed away at Regency Park Oak Knoll in Pasadena, surrounded by the love of her family. Erika is survived by her husband, Wally; her daughter, Kate; and her son, Eric.

Erika was an active member of Lake Avenue Church since the 1970s. She met her husband, Wally, in 1973 through Lake Avenue’s Grad Group, and they were married in the church’s Chapel in 1975. Together, Erika and Wally co-taught 5th grade Sunday School for over 20 years. She was also involved in the women’s Morning Break Bible study and was a member of the Genesis Class.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 12, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Lake Avenue Church, with Pastor Matthew John officiating.
