Luke 1:1-4
He (Luke) projected himself in the story. Suddenly that true story now is not just a true story, it is a relevant story because he has personalized it. Having investigated carefully, writing in consecutive order, he has personalized it. He went into the story even though he was not physically there. That is exactly what I am asking you to this year. None of us were there when the Gospel was written, none of us saw Jesus, but like Luke, we can be “eyewitnesses.” We can personalize this story, putting ourselves in this story, walking with Jesus on a weekly basis. We can feel the same thing that Luke felt...experience the same spiritual significance.
