For many years our Sing-Along Messiah has drawn together people from throughout the Los Angeles area to our church. Many people look for this chance to experience this Christmas portion of this great work, being able to sing in the audience with an orchestra, soloists, and hundreds of other people. It becomes one big choir proclaiming the scripture surrounding Christ's birth.

I remember one man coming to me maybe 20 years ago, telling me this event at Lake Avenue was the third Sing-Along Messiah he would be a part of ON THAT DAY! Think of it... armed with his Messiah score, this man was driving the freeways of the metropolitan area of Los Angeles to be a part of three events like this, all in one day.

This concert/sing-along is an experience that you won't want to miss. Our own Sanctuary Choir will be in the loft to guide the singing of the choruses, our soloists this year come from The Los Angeles Master Chorale, and the Lake Orchestra will be leading us. Come to either sing along or simply listen to the truth and beauty of this monumental work. Bring a friend. Be ready to hear, be inspired, and encouraged.

The doors will open at 3:30 pm on Sunday, December 15, and there is no admission charge. A free will offering will be taken. I hope to see you there.
