More than a year ago, Pastor Mathew P. John brought together six individuals from Lake Avenue Church—initially strangers to one another—drawn by the vision to create resources that would beautifully illuminate biblical truths through a harmonious blend of content and style. That day, a new ministry, Pulpit to Pages (P2P), was born. Hundreds of volunteer labor hours later, the team of now-close professionals from various fields has produced its labor of love, Pastor Mathew’s recently published devotional book, The Beatitudes: Blessings of the Kingdom, based upon his earlier sermon series. As part of the P2P team, one editor oversaw the entire process, while another refined the language. Our own professional church photographer contributed stunning nature photos to complement the message, and a design artist crafted the
book’s layout and visual style. Now, a marketing professional is leading the roll-out campaign.
The Beatitudes: Blessings of the Kingdom offers an insightful exploration of Jesus's most fundamental teachings and will serve as the foundation for Pastor Mathew’s upcoming sermon series, “Beyond the Beatitudes.” Adult small groups within the church will have the opportunity to study the book together. Free digital copies of a study guide are available to participants, with limited print copies offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The book is also being gifted to newcomers of Lake Avenue Church. This project will be the catapult to unleash greater creativity within the church body and inspire us all to use our gifts for Christ.
