As we kick off our fourth season of Rooted, we hope you’ll consider participating. Here’s a conversation with Tatiana Corea about her experience.

Ann:

I was moved by your participation in Rooted and baptism right after! And bonus, we’ve stayed as a small group since! How long have you been a part of Lake Ave?

Tatiana:

I came about 2½ years ago and became a new believer here.

Ann:

Why did you want to participate in Rooted?

Tatiana:

I just finished Alpha, wanted to learn more about Christianity, make connections with others, and strengthen my walk with Christ.

Ann:

What was the best part of Rooted for you?

Tatiana:

It was great meeting incredible Christians who were very patient with me. They filled me with knowledge about Christ and love.

Ann:

What was most challenging?

Tatiana:

I never read the Bible, so at times I felt lost. But my Rooted family was so helpful, explaining everything.

Ann:

What did you learn?

Tatiana:

Being a new believer, I wasn’t sure how to live life as a Christian. So, Rooted was a good guideline on how to live the human life as a Christian. I learned to pray, love, be patient, and be faithful to God. Rooted was an incredible experience for me. I learned so much and gained a great Christian family.

Ann:

What would you tell someone who’s thinking about going through the 10-week study?

Tatiana:

I recommend this to everyone, not just new believers. But for new believers it’s a must because it keeps you learning and engaging in Christian life. When I was going through it myself, I told many people, and they were interested! So now that there’s a new season, I’m spreading the news.

Ann:

I love your enthusiasm! Thank you for honestly sharing here, Tatiana.
